Practice/Research Interests: Obesity prevention in children with a focus on Latino and immigrant populations.

Plans after school:
I plan to apply to the PhD program in Community and Family Health

Personal Statement about APHA-SA:
I am excited to be a part of the APHA student organization. I believe as professionals we should support our organization and be committed to its growth. I became aware of the opportunity to serve in this organization through the list-serve. I look forward to my involvement and any contributions that I am able to make. I absolutely love public health because almost every aspect has some degree of respiratory health involved in it and as a respiratory therapist I feel that there are so many avenues through public health to make a difference. I look forward to the next two years in the APHA-SA.
