Prepared by: Jennifer Cremeens and Anna Pollack, APHA-SA Opportunities Committee Chairs If you have announcements you want included in this email, please send them to: opportunities@aphastudents.org Weekly APHA - SA Opportunities Committee Email Friday, March 31, 2006 Attention job seekers with WVI and/or the WHO: Recently a posting on this Listserv advertised job positions World Vision International and/or the World Health Organization with large salaries (over $150K). This is a scam. The individual advertising for these positions is not authorized to act on behalf of either World Vision or the World Health Organization and these jobs do not even exist. This is a fairly sophisticated scam and interested job seekers are sent applications, asked questions in a "written" interviews and ultimately sent acceptance letters where the applicant is requested to wire a "refundable registration fee" to an overseas account. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. If you are interested in jobs with World Vision, please visit our websites at www.worldvision.org for U.S. jobs or www.wvi.org for international jobs. We also have other international offices that conduct their own hiring. World Vision is vigilantly working to stop this fraudulent activity. You can help by notifying the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov. If you have any questions, you can also contact World Vision at ashelley@worldvision.org. Thank you.
